Summary:
Culture and language go hand in hand, like chips and salsa or PB&J. Therefore, during a medical encounter, we have a Spanish-speaking patient (and Latino culture) and an English-speaking provider (and Anglo culture). These differences play an important role during a medical encounter and can cause misunderstandings and even death in the worst-case scenario. As medical interpreters, we need to be aware of these differences to understand if, when, and how to intervene.

During this 2-hour *recorded* webinar, participants will become familiar with the main differences between the Anglo and Latino culture, how it affects the medical encounter, and understand if, when, and how to intervene.
