List of books I love and
useful things for note-taking

¡Hola, hola!

People often ask me for book recommendations, and I always promise to share a list. While reorganizing my books, I decided it was the perfect time to finally follow through!

This list includes books on medicine, translation, interpreting, language, and related topics that are both fun and interesting. Some I’ve read, while others are still on my to-read list. It’s not a definitive collection, as I plan to keep adding to it. I’m not suggesting you need to buy all these books, but I do find them useful and reliable. Most books are written in English and some are in Spanish

Don’t forget, pre-owned books are fantastic! I’ve bought several second-hand books, and they’re often much cheaper than the latest editions. Plus, I have two great reasons for doing so: I’m saving a book from ending up in a landfill, and let’s be honest, the human body hasn’t exactly changed between editions. Tee-hee!

I’ve also included a list of useful tools for note-taking, ranging from notepads and pens to tablets.

Science and languages are constantly evolving, so if you come across a broken link or have a book recommendation you’d like me to add to the list, feel free to reach out at info@blueurpi.com.

Happy learning!

Gloria

ps. For most books, I included a link to Amazon. There, you can find a book review (to learn more about it)  and ISBN (so you can buy a used edition and save one book from a landfill).

  • ❤️ iPad Mini (6th gen): Love it because it fits in my lab coat pocket at work, it is very light, the battery lasts a long time, and it saves trees!
  • ❤️ Apple Pencil (2nd Generation): Smooth and never runs out of ink. The 1st generation is also good. I like this one because it attaches magnetically to the iPad, so I don’t lose it as often as I used to.
  • ❤️ Screen protector: I have a Paperlike 2.0 for iPad Mini 8.3″ and makes it feel like I am writing on real paper. Whatever brand and model you choose, make sure it matches your iPad. Having a screen protector has saved me of replacing my screen many times.
  • Apple Smart Folio for iPad Mini (6th Gen): It is not necessary to purchase exactly this one, just make sure it fits your iPad so you can protect your investment.

This is a live list that I’ll update regularly as I discover more resources. If you come across a broken link or have site suggestions, feel free to reach out at info@blueurpi.com
