Summary:
At its inception, Instagram was a place to share pictures of your pets or your latest meal. Nowadays, a wide variety of reputable users share information on Instagram, such as The New York Times (newspapers), CNN (news outlets), Merriam Webster and Fundeu (dictionaries), Mayo Clinic or the CDC (medical entities), and many more. This allows us to have contact with diverse resources in different languages and dialectal variants and also learn new terminology, practice interpreting modalities, and more.
After this 1-hour recorded webinar, participants will become familiar with the accounts and hashtags I follow on Instagram and how they can use it to increase their terminology. They will also receive a list of recommended accounts to apply what they learned in class immediately.
This class is presented in English. All languages and levels are welcome.
